This conference is the latest in a row of conferences known as the Aarhus mythology conference, as it was established in Aarhus in 2006-2008. Since then, it has travelled to Aberdeen (2009), Reykjavík (2010), Zürich (2011), Bonn (2012), Harvard (2013), Aarhus (2014), Stockholm (2015), Berkeley (2016), Helsinki (2017), Uppsala (2018), Bergen (2019) and Reykjavík (2021). The Aarhus mythology conference is the largest international conference on Old Norse mythology and religion.
The conference, organized by the Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Humanities of the Charles University, will take place at the Emmaus Monastery in Prague on the 24th–26th November 2022. The theme of the conference is Hybrids and Metamorphoses, for more information, see Theme and Programme.
The speakers are partly invited and partly selected from abstracts sent to the organizers – see the Call for Contributions. The deadline for the paper and poster abstracts is 1st April. If you want to attend and participate in the discussions following the papers, please register HERE by 31st October.
We are looking forward to meeting you in Prague!

The conference could not have taken place without the generous support of UNCE. We would also like to thank the Cooperatio FHS program, SVV and the Embassy of Denmark and Norway for their support.
